REQUIREMENTS
BACKING
Our installations require a minimum 1/2" plywood or equivalent substrate. This backing is best installed during framing.
PLUGS & SWITCHES
Plugs & switches must be installed or moved to adjacent cabinets or areas. Simply put, the installation surface must be clear of any obstructions.
CLEARANCES
A Wall Candy installation requires a minimum 2" clearance. Slide-in ranges should finish no closer than 2" to the installation wall. Conventional ranges with a back or top control panel would not be possible.
SUPPORT
Our installations must be 'seated' and typically require no additional supports. We do not offer any type of non-seated or floating display.
TERMINATION POINTS
Our installations are best planned between two 'naturally' occurring termination points. Although our frameless design is part of the overall finish, we can also provide a stainless termination end cap to secure the system media.
FAUCETS
To avoid faucet lever conflicts, clients are required to use a front-lever faucet with a Wall Candy install.
TOP ACCESS
The Wall Candy Co. requires top access of the system for the 'media drop'. Upper cabinets must be installed on a return visit after the system is installed. Each project is unique, and top access for the media drop should be clearly discussed prior to install.
PANEL SIZE & JOINTS
Panel dimensions and joints are to be discussed and determined on a per project basis in consideration of both aesthetics and weight loads.
